Argentinian cult auteurs Luciano and Nicolás Onetti return with their most audacious and political project to date. The film is set against the backdrop of the 1978 World Cup, which occurred during the dark period of Argentina’s military dictatorship. Using the football match as cover, sadistic government agents kidnap a group of young protestors and take them to a clandestine detention centre.
However, during the inhumane interrogation it turns out that the wrong group of people have been kidnapped. Rather than being left-wing agitators the hostages turn out to be members of a macabre cult guided by an unknown supernatural force. The group dramatically upends the symbols of state-sponsored oppression, ensuring that the detention centre will become the site of hell itself...
